A Component that does everything

I was surfing the internet and found www.joomsuite.com. They claimed that they have a component, Joomla Suite Content at http://www.joomsuite.com

They claimed

JoomSuite Content - is a new and the best way to manage content on your site.

Making long description short, JoomSuite Content is like Mosets Tree, jobline, hotproperty, datsogallery, Rapid Recipe, Seyret Video, JPortfolio, Link Directory, DOCMan, Contacts, Easy FAQ, ... all together but little bit more flexible and feature-rich.

I would call it an alternative to Joomla core content component, but it is so advanced that has no alternatives. It allows you to create custom content types. Here is a small list of possible types you can create with JoomSuite Content component. Almost anything you can imagine!

If the component could wash the dishes and take out the garbage, I would buy it right away. I have my doubt and also without a demo site to really show it off, I was even more skeptic. But, I click every page, from the FAQ to contents and it seems to use the same components:
index.php?option=com_resource..........

The bottom line is that I like you guys (and girls), the components, and the services that you create are quite good. I know that a component like this with your service would go a long way putting you guys on the top. I see that you are working on a user registration and that is great. So let me know what you think

We have something similar in the works for J1.5 actually. Probably not as powerful initially though.

The Joomsuite team have been around a while and have a lot more resources at their disposal than us.

That is great! I was just wondering because as I said, I like you guys and want to continue to support you in any way possible? Can you give us a little tease on what to expect?

If you haven't already read, here is a little tease;)

Yup that is a pretty good tease.

Such a tease! ;)

I've mentioned it in PMs but I'll say it again: GroupJive is floundering and just looking for a dev team. It would fit in nicely with the core extensions you plan on keeping, and it has a nice micropledge bounty all ready for some clever coders to claim. It'd be a shame to see that project fall off the map. I have it installed on my local XAMPP drive and there's a real attraction to it. Good community interest. Might be worth a project evaluation anyway.

You guys rock - love the Nekkid Ninjas!

:silly:

Hi schelly,

thanks for your statement, appreciate that very much.

BTW:
Regarding GroupJive - We're already on our way and I will be the developer for that new baby. Daniel will open a thread about (and a poll) this soon. ;-)

Best Regards
Uwe

This is what I call awesome news!! :woohoo:
Thank you!!

And please don't forget an "import from GroupJive" feature! :P

You can find a link to the thread in the announcements at the top of the page.

We even have a competition going to name the new component.

We probably won't be taking the pledge though because we intend to make it a silver level extension. I don't feel it's fair to take the pledge and then charge for it. So we decided that we would pick one or the other, and picked making it a member extension.

You've just guaranteed that this member will remain a member indefinitely!

:woohoo:

If you need help with documentation or support, do let me know!

Don't offer things too quickly or we might take you up on it. ;)

(good way to earn a life membership actually lol)

I am willing to help in creating documentations for new extensions. So, just let me know how I can help you guys out. I am also busy trying to get my website up and running, but I would like to help.

@Schelly - congrats on the business and the marriage, and all the rest too. I have my own wedding coming up next month.

If either of you ever want to help with documentation feel free to just write something up in a word or open office document and send it on to us.

We will take any help we can get. :)
