When will 2.5 version release?

Hi there,

I used Ninja Rss Syndicator for 1 year +, and very like it.

I want to ask that when you will release the 2.5 version?

I saw you said "It's still in development phase and needs to be tested though, but should not take long before release." at 11 Apr in http://ninjaforge.com/forum/topic/25932-joomla-25.

Even the date of releasing the Alpha version, I am willing to be a good tester for you.

We are still in testing fase.
And we have a lot of testing to do also because of some of our other extensions which are converted to J2.5.

Hello!

We had been using Ninja RSS Syndicator with great delight alongside Joomla 1.5. Since we finished migration to 2.5 end of may we are patiently awaiting the advent of a new Syndicator release.

Today I read this:

Does this literally mean that Ninja RSS Syndicator does NOT belong to the chosen few and will be abandoned "for one reason or another (redundant, better extensions out there, not needed in 2.5 etc)"?

I hope not! Because none of these reasons seem to explain why Ninja RSS Syndicator should be given up!

Pls some good news! And if you have an alpha/beta version of Ninja RSS Syndicator, please make it available for testing. I would love to help with some beta testing of Ninja RSS Syndicator for Joomla 2.5!

Thanks for your interests.

As far as I now Ninja RSS certainly belongs to the list which are going to be converted to Joomla 2.5
In fact it already is converted and has been tested.

It's a matter of fixing some issues that have to be done before it comes out.
Unfortunately I can't give you a solid date at the moment but I think it won't take long.

Hi JesusC,

Thanks for trying the new Ninja RSS Syndicator and for your feedback.

This is not an error but just a notice/warning.
It just points to a undefined variable which doesn't to seem present.

I've tried to find out what could cause this message in the specific code of Ninja RSS.
As far as I could discover, this might have to do with the Feeds overview/listing on the Feeds overview page.
In there you will find the dropdown box at the bottom which says Display #.

Now, if you have just 1 or 2 feeds created then it's most likely there isn't a notice message displaying.
In case you have more than 5 feed items, try to set the dropdown to view "All" items and see if the notice will be gone.

In general you shouldn't worry about this message/notice because it will not affect the main functionality of Ninja RSS.

You have to download the module separately.

You can do this HERE.
At the bottom of the page you will see the download button for the Ninja RSS module.

But I saw the function of Joomla Tag filter is missing.

Will it be added in the next release? Maybe not Joomla Tag but another bla bla tag?

We can't enable the JoomlaTags feature until JoomlaTags works in J2.5.

While we can make no promises, if you show me a free alternative to Joomla Tags that works in J2.5, I'll get the team to investigate whether it can be integrated into Ninja RSS Syndicator.

Did you set up Ninja RSS correctly?
If so, can you show me the settings from a screenshot (component settings, module settings).

Try to explain what you try to achieve with Ninja RSS.
I couldn't find anything related to Ninja RSS at the site you provided.

But I do understand what you mean.

As far as I understand, it works the other way around.
This is not right and we have to fix this.

Hello again!

Yes it's version 2.0

However I detected something else
Using the option to "exclude category select" I choose for example:
Category A, B, D and to show only C but this does not happen, he show all categorys.

John, I'm having the same issue. I'm running Joomla 2.5, RSS ninja 2.0. If I select "Include categories" and select the categories to be displayed, the system displays no results...

If I select exclude, I get some results, but I can't figure out how to make the system choose the right articles I need on that particular feed....

Something is not really working... I'm a bit confused...
