Ninja Simple Icon menu and Joomfish

Hello!

I have the Ninja Simple Icon Menu on my billingual webpage (EN-HU).
I've tried to create the english version of the menu with Joomfish.
Everything worked fine, but in the last step, when I wanted to save the modifications I had a simple problem: Joomfish didn't save the modifications. It has jumped out from the Joomfish module, and the admin starting page appeared.
Does Ninja Simple Icon menu works with Joomfish?
Do you have any idea how to solve the problem?

Thank you in advance!

Susan

Hi Susan,

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with Ninja Simple Icon Menu.
As far as I know it should work with Joomfish.

Did you try a second time to create an English version?
Did you get the same behavior?
Do you experience this behavior when translating other extensions?

Please, can you post a link to your website in order to inspect things at closer hand?

Thanks.

Kind regards,
John

Hi John,

Thank you for the quick reply.

I have tried several times to convert the Ninja modul to english, and I had the same behavior.
There is no problem with translating other moduls, or extensions.
The webpage is: http://autojavito.com.

Thank you!

Kind regards,
Susan

Hi Susan,

Thanks for providing the link.

As far as I understand you need to replace the icons for the English version within Ninja Simple Icon Menu.
I see it's not actually needed to translate words, because there are only icons (custom images) displayed without the icon's text (which is optional in the module).

Maybe this is were it goes wrong.
Because you can't change the actual icons for the English version.
I've no solid clue because I'm not up to date as it comes to JoomFish because I don't use it myself or have tested it with Ninja Simple Icon Menu.

What I can suggest is that you create two modules, one for your native language and one for the English language. Just upload your custom icons/images (both native and English) in the same folder that Ninja Simple Icon Menu uses.

Then in the settings within JoomFish, try to assign each module to it's belonging language.
I'm not sure if this will work or if it's even possible, but it's the only suggestion I have at the moment.

I hope this helps.
Let us know how it goes.

Thanks.

Kind regards,
John

Hi John,

Thank you for the answer.
In the Joomfish there is only one possibility to solve my problem: duplicate the template, one for the hungarian version, and one for the english...
So, I went back to the bases, I created a new simple html modul and I put the icons into it. :-)
Not an elegant solution, but it works, and it can be translated to english easily.

Thank you for your kind help!

Best regards,
Susan

Hi Susan,

I'm sorry to hear Ninja Simple Icon Menu didn't work as expected with Joomfish.

The alternate way you use is fine too in my opinion.

You are welcome anytime in the future.

Good luck.

Kind regards,
John
