Install does not finish -> empty pages
Hi, I'm trying to install NinjaJournal, but the installation doesn't seem to finish and keeps checking for additional packages to install. I do have a NinjaJournal entry in the components menu, but all possible submenu items give empty pages, nothing is clickable, and I cannot create any new entries....

I followed the FAQ's regarding this, but I do not have either the Javascript SDK system plugin or the JomSocial plugin installed.. so those are not the issue.

I am eagerly awating a reply, as this is exactly what I am looking for on my new website, and there is no other Joomla component out there that even comes close to a Journal....

So please help me ASAP....

Hi AlanW1,

Thanks for trying NinjaJournal; We're sorry you're having trouble with it.

Please try the following:

  1. Install NinjaJournal in the normal manner (You've done this).

  2. Unzip the NinjaJournal zip package. In it, you should find a folder called packages, within which are more extensions.

  3. Install all extensions you find inside the packages folder.

NinjaJournal should now work.

Cheers,
Mark

Ok... I did that.... then I click on the NinjaJournal component, and all I get is a blank page.... and the same for all the subheadings for the component.... if I create a menu item on the front-end with the default layout... I get a blank page when I click on the link..... I am running version 1.5.22 of Joomla on a linux server with all patches and updates installed.... what am I missing?

Thanks for trying that AlanW1,

Please check your php information:
Joomla Admin Menu >> Help >> System Info >> PHP Information

Tell us what version of PHP you are running, and whether you have ioncube and/or the suhosin patch installed.

Thanks,
Mark

Hi AlanW1,

It looks like you have the Suhosin patch running.

Please implement this workaround :

Nooku Suhosin Fix

Let me know how it goes.
