Preview not working

Hello, I have quite fallen in love with this forum, but I am struggling with one thing: when I click on Preview while being in toppic, nothing happens, the text editor window gets inactive (I can not write anything), my text turns white - but I can not see the preview text. Where is the problem? I am using Joomla 1.15 with K2 and JA T3 2.0, Ninjaboard 1.0.3.

Give the package in this post a shot - it sorted all the Preview issues I had across several browsers:

Actually, if you are using the latest version downloaded from our website, you should have the fixes included in siteease's package.

I suspect there is confusion about what Preview does.

Are you using BBcode in your post? If you don't use bbcode, Preview will show you exactly what you have written in that textarea. There will be no change in the text.
If you have used BBcode in the textarea (Bold, Italic, Colors, etc), then Preview mode will convert these to the actual styled text.

A lot of people expect preview to work like it does in phpbb, where you are taken to a new page in which you see the post as it would look after submission, with an avatar alongside it, etc.

You say you're using 1.0.3, I suggest you upgrade to the latest stable (currently 1.0.5) as it includes preview related bugfixes like the ones siteease is talking about.

Thanks for all the answers! I have upgraded and the did not vansh... ummm... but the button itself DID :) (I mean the one that was next to "Submit" button). When I use the Preview icon (magnifying glass) the preview does not appear (problem remains). Text disappears, input screen goes inactive and that is about all that happens. I suppose that the problem could be in Chamaleon - it could try to write in white color on white background (I do not know how does it work), however I can not even "highlight" the code by selecting it... When I quit the preview, text returns to input field and I can post it without any problem.

I do not use BBcode but just plain text - however I can not see anything!. Where and in what form should the text show up? I have just tried to preview text "quote" and "code", but that didn't work either....

I'm french, I will try to speak english correctly.

I have the same problem about button preview. When I click on it, nothing happens, except that the publisher is not editable anymore.

This problem is solved ?

My version of NinjaBoard is : Ninjaboard 1.1.5 Stable ~ Révision 2352.

Hi Urbilog,

This issue is solved long ago.

Perhaps you can try to download and install the latest version of Ninjaboard 1.1.6.

If it still doesn't work, can post a link to the page in question please?
This way we will be able to inspect things at closer hand.

if possible It would be helpful if you could temporary make a part of Ninjaboard public accessible in case registration is not possible or not allowed.
