Recently Used Files List?

Hey, I was have been working on the CSS for a template which has convoluted CSS, including what seems to be 3 fully separate directory branches, each several directories deep.

My style, for better or worse, is to edit on the web. It means I don't need to manage a local editor, nor depend on it when I am off site.

It would be a great convenience if NinjaX could list links to recently used files somehow.

Let me know if I've missed this feature somehow.

Thanks!

Hi kenlyle,

That isn't currently a feature of NX, but sounds like a great one for the next version. Thanks.

In the meantime, have you tried the shortcut feature? It's up in the top right corner of the NX page. You can create a bunch of shortcuts to the places in the file-system you frequent, and they will appear in a dropdown select list.

Cheers,
Mark

Very nice. First I tried symlinks, but then noticed the little Favorites icon...for the first time, in days of looking at NX...weird.

It looks like those links will get me to the directory page, right? It would be great if I could add a link somehow from the editor page to be able to pop open a specific file. Or is there a trick for that? It seems like I got an error when trying to access files, "The file you wanted to make a symbolic link to does not exist or is not accessible by PHP. "

But being able to pop 6 directories deep is very nice.
Thanks!

Hi Ken,

Unfortunately you can't open files via the shortcuts... only directories.

We'll definitely implement your "recently viewed files" feature in the next version.

Cheers,
Mark
