Can NinjaXplorer only count to 1500?

I am trying to make an edit to line 1864 of a CSS file, but if you look at the attached, it seems that NinjaX starts over at 1501.

This seems really, really lame, unless maybe you guys licensed some editor and got a discount because you bought the "only small and medium files" version. :)

Actually, I find it pretty ridiculous. In combination with the other bug I found and Daniel confirmed, regarding (not) copying (nested) folders....it's embarrassing, and why my overall impression of Ninjaforge is just "neutral". Now, Daniel did just come through with a content plugin for Ninjamonials, which redeems things a bit.

Is there any reason for line numbers to start over at 1500? Were you programming in BASIC on a Vic-20, and ran out of room on your floppy disk?

The reason is...

We didn't code NX from the ground up, this is a carry over from Joomla Explorer, and extplorer which as far as I know have the same issues.

This isn't an excuse, we took responsibility for the extension so we should fix it, but we have never encountered these isues ourselves so we weren't aware of them.

You just happen to be pushing the envelope and found the bugs left over from the original devs. I will try to make some time to look at at least one of these issues in the next day or so.

p.s. the folder thing is a carry over too.

I really should have done all this in one post...

For what it is worth, we are in the process of rebuilding NX using Nooku like most of our other extensions, and also so it will be 1.6 compatible. WHen the new version is released it will be almost entirely our original code, so you can make lots of Vic-20 cracs then if these bugs persist. ;)

Thanks, Daniel! for the quick and gracious response.

I'm looking forward to all the new and Nooku stuff replacing these legacy bits.

I am sorry if I was a bit harsh, but I think we're on the same page regarding quality.

Thanks, too, again, for the Ninjamonials content plugin. I hope that that it gets wide adoption.

Re on the same page regarding quality : Absolutely. We aren't happy with these issues either.

I need to clean up the plugin a bit before it gets a public release, but you are more than welcome if it does the job for you.
