I have a fresh install of Joomla 1.6, and a fresh install of NinjaBoard; I get these errors generated immediately after NinjaBoard install:

Error loading component: com_agora, 1
Error loading component: com_ccboard, 1
Error loading component: com_kunena, 1
Error loading component: com_agora, 1
Error loading component: com_ccboard, 1
Error loading component: com_kunena, 1

I 777'd the directories indicated in the NinjaBoard Installation guide, as I am on a UNIX server, and the error flags disappeared; The only error remaining was a indication that I needed to change my database configuration to SQLi; I went to Joomla's global configuration and changed the SQL to SQLi, and that resolved said error message; the only thing remaining is the list of "component" errors, which only show up on my "tools" tab in the NinjaBoard Dashboard. I would like to resolve this issue before furthering my NinjaBoard. The following is a list of specs for the system I am running my site on:

PHP Built On: Linux cx113.justhost.com
Database Version: 5.0.91-community
Database Collation: utf8_general_ci
PHP Version: 5.2.15
Web Server: Apache
WebServer to PHP Interface: cgi
Joomla! Version: Joomla! 1.6.0 Stable [ Onward ] 10-Jan-2011 23:00 GMT
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.10 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/8.0.552.237 Safari/534.10

PECL Module version (bundled) 1.0.1 $Id: pdo_sqlite.c 293036 sebastian $
SQLite Library 3.3.7

Hi,

Reproduced your problem.
I'll explain to you a little why this is happening.
On our Tools screen, we have converters for different forum apps that we support. In order to keep this screen minimal and as relevant as possible we don't show some converters unless you have that forum installed.

Currently we do that with Agora, ccBoard and Kunena.

The problem is that the code we use to check that, have changed in Joomla! 1.6. Good news is that I'm able to reproduce this problem on my local dev server and I also know what code needs to be updated.
So we'll link you to a nightly with this problem fixed real soon.

Thanks for reporting!

THANK YOU!!! This is the first time someone has actually taken the time to respond to a question I've posted, at least with a timely, relevant and helpful manner. I now am positive that I want to use this product! I had the suspicion it was exactly what you verified. Thank you again for the affirmation. I am looking forward to learning NinjaBoard, I think the members of my site and I are going to love it...I'll let you know if I have any other glitches.

Can I get in on that code?

I have the exact same problem,

But opposed to d3mon, I just uninstalled Kunani (CSS conflicts with current template).

Thanks a lot.

Hey, what version of Joomla are you using? Ninjaboard doesn't support Joomla 1.6 at this time. (it did, and will do again in future versions, but not currently. :P)

Also, do you mean Kunena?

I found that the solution was to use Akeeba AdminTools to change the database collation to [utf8_general_ci] and to "Repair and Optimise Tables".

After clearing the cache, the issue was resolved.

In Joomla! 2.5..x there is also a Database repair tool available in Ext. Manager which can also be useful in this situation.

Trust that will help some folks.
