What banner Slider?

I'm looking for a module which will rotate through some images (for the main page on our website). However I need the module to be able to play *.jpg and also *.swf.... anyone got any advice on what I could use?

Rotate continuously, or just change on every page load?

Random rotation? or fixed order?

I remember seeing an advanced banner rotator on another site

it handled images or flash I think. I forget what it was. It was on the JED though.

I've been over JED a few times but not seen anything which plays SWF and jpg.

Any idea what the name was?

Actually you are right. The one I thought that did was xbanner, but it doesn't.

What I would recommend in that case is getting the joomlaspan random text module. It accepts HTML as the text to randomize. So you can just enter the html to show the jpg or the swf that way.

forgot to mention that I am using J1.5 and i don't think Joomlaspan random text module works in Joomla 1.5.

any other ideas?
