Few Issues

Hello,

I just had a few issues with the forum software, using the newest version and Joomla 1.5

1. Moving forum posts seems to be broken, when I (logged in as a admin) choose to move post, it takes me to the screen where I can choose where I want the post to go. The issue is that the list is not selectable, I do see the submit/cancel buttons at the bottom so I'm assuming there should be a check box or something next to each?

2. The show latest post module at the bottom works but to well, it also shows posts for forums hidden from public view. Kind of defeats the purpose of having things locked away from the general public.

3. This is more of a question than an issue, I guess we had the guest posting enabled so we got spammed a little by a bot or something, no big deal delete and move on. The question is how did they do it? I tried testing it myself (not logged in) and tried to post and reply and I had no options to post as a guest. After my testing I turned it off anyways for safe measure.

4. This is a future feature request, auto resizing of images or limiting the size with a notification to the poster that they need to make smaller.

5. Another future request, captcha for posting. I see the option for all other things other than actually submitting a post.

That is all I can think of for now. Thanks for a good/free product. Can't wait for newer versions.

Please give us another 1 -2 weeks to fix this. The NinjaBoard frontend is currently getting refactored... Stian will fix both these issues.

This is not something we have seen before. I'll add a ticket to our internal tracker.

Thanks for the feature requests... if you have any in future, please submit them via the red feedback tab on the left so that
a.) They don't get buried and forgotten.
b.) Others can vote on them... we will rearrange our priorities to meet the communities needs.

Sorry to bother you again, but are you sure the spammer/bot didn't create an account in NB or Joomla?

Yeah we don't use the login option from Joomla just the forum software. When I checked the database the posts showed up in the forum_post_guest or something like that not the forum_post.

Thanks.. that helps.

BTW it turns out the captcha feature is legacy code and doesn't work *at all*. We will probably remove it in the next minor release and then put it back when we have it working.

It is considered a "nice-to-have" so will have lower priority then the other features that are considered "must-haves" for any forum (eg the "move posts/threads" feature)

Development is going ahead full-speed ATM :)

These will be fixed by Stian who is refactoring NinjaBoard as we speak. He is just about finished with the views and will begin working on the template files next.
