Ninja Bot Control

As bots navigate out of your site to others you will slowly watch your precious page rank leak out with them. Something no decent webmaster wants!

Are you sick of people leeching your images off Google Images?

So, if you want to hide some of your pages, images and links from search engines but have no idea what a robots.txt file is and don't want to mess around with code, then this fantastic little module is exactly what you need.

Ninja Bot Control will allow you to block the indexing ofcertain aspects of your page in the following search engines:

  • Google
  • Yahoo
  • Ask
  • MSN/Live

Supported types of Block:

  • Image Block
  • Page Block
  • Cached Pages Block
  • Follow Link Block

Note that an image block doesn't stop images from appearing on your website, it just stops them appearing on services like Google Images.

Documentation

Usage of Ninja Bot Control is quite simple.

Robot Selection

  • Select in the "Robot to Block:" field one robot you want to hide your page from.
  • If you want to hide your content from all ROBOTS you select All Bots
  • If you want to add more than one robot but not all you should copy this module and set it with another robot!

Type of Block Selection

You have 4 main options for blocks:

  • Actual Pages - Will block all the page to be indexed
  • Hyperlinks - Will block the index of your page Follow Links
  • Archived Pages - Will block the search engine to show a cached copy of your page
  • Images- Just block images to be indexed

You have to select the type of block you want. If you just want to add one type of block you must have all fields other than "Elements to Block 1:" with "Empty" label.

For example if you want to add images block it will look like:

  • Elements to Block 1: Images
  • Elements to Block 2: EMPTY
  • Elements to Block 3: EMPTY
  • Elements to Block 4: EMPTY

But if you want to add more than one type of block just select them in each field. For example if you want to add FOLLOW Links and CACHED Pages Block it will look like:

  • Elements to Block 1: Hyperlinks
  • Elements to Block 2: Archived Pages
  • Elements to Block 3: EMPTY
  • Elements to Block 4: EMPTY

Please make sure all the fields other than the ones you want to select be: "EMPTY"!
