Portfolio Component?

Is there a ninja Portfolio component? I noticed on an old news article there was talk of a cleaned up version of the com_portfol component. Has these been released?

We were going to, because I thought project was dead, but it appears to be still alive and well so we dropped the idea for now.

Silly to fork an active project unless we have some major contributions to make to it.

What Portfolio Component would you guys recommend? Any one standing out? has to work with Joomla 1.5 :)

I want to use a Portfolio Component in a way similar to a gallery.

I'm planning to upload images of aquariums but with different setups (different plants, ornaments, etc.) but I don't just want to show the images I want to also add descriptions and other Reference-info like a direct link to the plants used, or a link to the ornament used so visitors can see what accessories were used to make the aquarium look so good.

Does that make sense?

yup. Might it be better to make custom pages? or are you expecting a lot of them?

I'm expecting a lot. I'm actually hoping that registered users will be able to upload an image of their own aquarium and 'tag' the image with the list of accessories. This would be done via the frontend, so maybe it could be based on Ninja Super Submit?

I'm trying to get fans of the product more involved and hopefully make the site more 'sticky' so there is always something new to see on the site.

This could be a custom paid project (which you could then release on ninjoomla)?? Let me know if you or any of the ninjoomla developers are interested.

This sounds like a cool portfolio actually. If you threw a community voting/comments system on top it would be great.

Have a good think about it and make up a specification and some screen shots and we will have a chat about it.
