Hey Guys,
I've got my localhost quite nice, made a bakup with akeeba and restored it on my final server,
it all went well, but now I get a bad layout of some buttons and some strange "test's" showing..
now I can send a link to Sir Mark Simpson (helped already allot... lol ) or someone else
for a try with a tmp user?

...edited..

it seams that the problem could be coming from iis7 and the way my server is handling css.
I've installed an update for css on iis7 but my layout on the forum is still messed up.. can someone tip me on where to search for a solution??
This strange layout stays even if I put a new install of ninjaboard on a fresh joomla install..
I had no errors on the installs..
My localhost is an apache where it's working fine...

Hi b74ck4ng37,

Please be patient with us. We are providing free support for a free extension. It is still the weekend for most of us, and we do need to spend time with our families, etc. Demanding help by shouting in ALL CAPS!!! is quite rude and shows complete disrespect for us and our time :(

Now back to your problem. Ninjaboard, like many php scripts, has problems on IIS. You may need to switch to an Apache server to fix the problem. However, you may try the following:

1.) Turn on SEF URL's with mod_rewrite.
2.) If the above doesn't work, try disabling SEF URL's.

Let us know if either of these things fixes it.

Kind regards,
Mark

Hi Mark, sorry for the "shouting" (deleted that...) ... I respect and admire your effort, knowledge and time, but was afraid that the update i made to the post would pass unaware.. sorry for that..

Thanks for the reply, I'll try SEF URL's after lunch and let you know.

Greetings,
Fred.

Hello Mark,
after some investigation on how to set SEF URL's without mod_rewrite on iss7,
I've just turned off SEF URL's and it works fine (displays correctly).

Ur the best!
Thanks for all your help ;)

Greetings,
Fred.

Hi Fred,

I'm glad you got it working, even if not the ideal method. Hopefully over the next year IIS gets better support for PHP and PHP modules.

Have a good week!

Mark
