Hi Everybody,

As an early Christmas present, I thought you might like to play with a new extension.

so here it is - http://ninjaforge.com/index.php?option=com_ninjacentral&page=show_package&id=97&Itemid=235

it will remain free for a good while yet, until all the features are in place. which may take some time as this is a sunday project of sorts. Meaning other support requests / new features take precedence.

do let me know how you like it :woohoo:

Hi Richie,

Very nice and interesting!
Great Job!

I'll let you know what my findings are, but I'm sure it's just as sophisticated as the other Ninja Forge extensions. ;)

Thanks for this one, and....

Merry Christmas :D

Hi Richie,

First...Awesome!!!:woohoo:

Ninja MultiContent is really a clever addition to the Ninja Forge Extension Treasure Trove.

My findings so far:

-install went smooth on my Joomla! 1.5.20, no errors.
-great and user friendly design.
-overrides per article - perfect.
-general use is working as it should - perfect.
-easy 'out of the box' use - perfect.
-I see a great potential for this component for public use.

Suggestions:

-add history of recent added content.
-possibility to edit (multiple) content listed in history.
-possibilty to choose also Sections (I guess you didn't add this because of the fact J! 1.6 doesn't make use of sections in the future).
-Ninja MultiContent Joomla 1.6 ready. Allthough I'm pretty sure this is your intension too of course, just mentioning (I'm aware Ninja MultiContent is in Alpha). Out of curiosity I tried to install it on 1.6 beta 14. Didn't install correctly.
-multilingual - I volunteer for translating the Dutch part, if you like ;).
-possibility to preview content.

I'm testing it some more and will give my feedback if there's more to report.

All and all...Great Job!! so far, Richie.
Keep it up!! ;).

Hi John,

totally awesome feedback and some good ideas for the future here also,

I noticed you are already a member of the NinjaBoard project on unfuddle, so I took the liberty of adding you to the NinjaContent project, I hope you dont mind.

Feel free to create messages/tickets ect to discuss ideas/bug fixes/feature requests. or not its up to you :)

@J 1.6, i will make it 1.6 ready soon, its a very stable alpha as it is, but id like to add a few more things before we make it beta and submit to the JED ect.

thanks for the praise, I'm kinda pleased with it too :)

Hi Richie,

You're welcome ;)

Thanks for adding me to the NinjaContent project, I don't mind it at all.
Actually I think it's very interesting.

I'll see what I can do to contribute.

@J!1.6 - Great to hear!

I wish you all the luck with the project :)

Couldn't find anywhere to post this, so I thought I'd add it here.

Just having a play around with Multicontent, and I'm getting server 500 errors. The error message suggests a bug in the code:

Template "/home/xxxxxxxxx/public_html/boringname/administrator/components/com_ninjamulticontent/views/contents/tmpl/default.php" not found

Looks like "contents" should probably be "content", but there is no default.php in that folder anyway.

This happens if I select "add content", click and save settings (top-right button), then cancel.

This is on Joomla 1.5.23

Tim
