So I'm back again! Glad to see Ninjaboard making progress, but disappointing it's not usable yet. Such a tease with all these releases! Don't know how many I've installed now.

Anyway, I can't create posts or topics of any kind. I only see a "new topic" button if I have "and can Create" permission for forum. Shouldn't they just need topic? And after filling out the name and message and pressing Create Topic, I'm taken to a blank page and no topic is created.

Hi n0ah,

I want you to know I completely agree with you :)

It's hard to release a stable working version, when the framework we're using is changing every day.

Good thing is it's going Beta this month, and the APIs have already begun to settle properly.

So it'll be far easier from here and onwards to make Ninjaboard stable enough for you guys to use it on live sites ;)

You're correct that in theory "and Can Create" should only be on topics. However beta4 have a bug there, that require you to have it on forums, topics and posts.

Also, if you get a blank page, please make sure you got SEF turned off. Beta5 have this problem fixed, but there's a bug in Beta4 that breaks posting when SEF is on.

Beta5 is coming this week.

Cheers,
Stian

OK, good news, and I'll try those fixes. I guess I'd rather have a buggy Ninjaboard than none at all. I love that you guys are open and eager to get your work out.

I have got the similar issue. I installed fresh Ninjaboard without any errors on my joomla v1.5.15 gaming clan site, set up default settings and loaded sample content. I can create forums and move topics but can´t create or edit topics. When i click on any editing or storno button nothing happens. I don´t use any SEF plugins except for Joomla native SEF plugin witch i have set off.

could you send me any advice to solve this problem?

Hi Diego19801,

Unfortunately this is true.
The current Ninjaboard version has troubles to run properly on PHP versions higher than 5.3.6.

Fortunately, this issue is reported and probably will be fixed in the next release which will be expected within two months.

Just for your information, you might want to upgrade your current version of Joomla.
The latest version of the 1.5 series is 1.5.25.
Yours is 1.5.15, which is fairly old and so you might experience other issues throughout your current setup.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,
John
