Kunena -> Ninjaboard migration

I haven't been able to follow NB as closely as I wanted unfortunately, so I am probably missing something. Is the Kunena conversion utility built into the current (beta) release? And does it function in a way that requires its use if you have Kunena installed? E.g., can I install NB alongside Kunena and migrate the Kunena data later?

It's built into NB in the current release, but deactivated as it's not in sync with the changes to our database schema.
We're releasing an update early next week with the Kunena importer activated and working.
You'll have to have Kunena installed in order to see the Kunena option on the Tools screen.
And you can run them both on the same site, and import from Kunena at any point you want, as many times you want :)

Glad you like it! :)
We'll over time add the same import support for other boards as well.
On the list are:
- Agora Olympus
- phpBB3
- SMF

For the 1.0 release at least. We'll likely add more to the list depending on user demand :)
But if we ever are to release the stable 1.0, we have to draw the line somewhere, right? ;)

Just letting you know that the Kunena importer is added and working in the latest beta :)
I actually demoed it on stage last saturday on joomla day sweden ;)

Cheers,

Cool,

And just FYI, we've got an upgrade for it scheduled for Beta4.
Currently it tries to import everything in one go, so if you have a large board with thousands of posts, script timeouts are likely to happen.
We're gonna adress that issue by making it do it in 1000 table rows increments.
This will also let us add a progress bar so you're able to see how far the importing is, and how much is left :)
